Paul F. Folino

Paul Folino is the chairman and chief executive officer of Orange County’s Emulex Corporation, a high-technology network storage company. Mr. Folino served on Governor Schwarzenegger’s transition team and his Economic Recovery Council.

The world’s leading server and storage providers, including Dell, EMC, Fujitsu Siemens, Groupe Bull, HP, Hitachi Data Systems, IBM, NEC, Network Appliance, StorageTek, and Unisys, use Emulex’s technologies and components in their products.

Emulex -www.emulex.com- was named one of Forbes Magazine's 25 Fastest-Growing Technology Companies in 2002 and is the world's largest supplier and developer of storage networking host bus adapters. The American Electronics Association named Emulex Outstanding Public Company for 2002.

A native of Seattle, Washington, Folino served as an executive for several high-tech companies, including the Thomas-Conrad Corporation, which was recognized by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest-growing privately held corporations in America.

In 1999, Folino was recognized as Orange County Entrepreneur of the Year for technology and in 2000 as Ernst & Young’s Orange County Director of the Year for high growth technology.

He is a member of the board of directors for the Orange County Performing Arts Center, South Coast Repertory Theatre, Chapman University, the MIND Institute, and Project Tomorrow.

Mr. Folino began his career with the Xerox Corporation in Seattle where he rose through the ranks to become a regional general manager.

Mr. Folino is a graduate of Central Washington State University and received his M.B.A from Seattle University.

He and his wife Daranne and daughter Courtney live in Southern California.
